Aperture Series: White Anthurium Closeup

The 90/3.2 is most definitely not a macro lens—I was frustrated in not being able to get any closer than this. But since there is as yet no macro lens, I wanted to see how the XCD 90/3.2 would do with flowers.

This subject caught my eye for its rich dark tones, high-key white flower and sheen on the leaves.

Were I to shoot flowers, I’d have to figure out a way to clean them! The detail includes dust and dirt which I was aware of, the white spot on the leaf which I did not notice. But I had not time to clean up the flowers and to do it right would require more than dust-off.

Adobe Camera Raw 9.8.0.692. View ACR settings. Diffraction mitigating sharpening used for f/9 (minimal), f/12 (moderate), f/16 (aggressive). Exposure tweaked for each image due to minor variations in exposure.
