This series from f/2.8 to f/11 with the Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS USM is presented with two series: one series shot where initially planned, and another shot with focus ~10 feet closer. The two series show how easy it can be to prove that the same lens is better/worse than itself, and thus why it is so hard to compare different lenses, or even different samples of the same lens model.

See the same scene with the Canon RF 14-35mm f/4L. I had shot both together as a comparison, but in spite of trying on two different days, it proved impossible to get a satisfactory match. Distortion differences (substantial), part is field curvature, focus shift all make it really hard to compare the two on a scene like this.
