Fujifilm X-Pro2

Night Shooting, Long Exposure, Night High-ISO Examples

The sensor in the Fujifilm X-Pro2 holds up well for night shooting. These examples give an idea of what to expect at various ISO and push processing settings when converting from RAF.

The X-Pro2 has a good Time exposure feature: press the shutter and it stays open until pressed again. The frustrating operational defect is not allowing the user to dial in a desired exposure time, so as to take a nap or warm up in the car out of the irritating 25 mph wind as on this night (the Nikon D810 shares that foolish omission, so it is not unique to Fujifilm, and Sony doesn’t even have a Time feature). Accordingly, the iPhone countdown timer must be used to close the shutter, then again to know wen the long exposure noise reduction is done—a ridiculous usability imposition.
