This real-world scene has a very strong near to far perspective along with lighting that demands excellent lens coatings and contrast handling.
The 10mm focal length affords impressive near-far perspectives; as used here it is powerfully expressive, and a good reason to own the 10-24mm f/4l. The Fujifilm XF 14mm f/2.8 and Zeiss Touit 12mm f/2.8 are excellent lenses, but 14mm and 12mm are notably less wide than 10mm. For a scene like this, the 10mm focal length is a big win.

The mimicry of ACROS film simulations is good enough most of the time for a starting point, but the custom Photoshop Black & White layer conversion used here is far superior to the ACROS version because tonal relationships could be modified for the desired effect in sky and grass, a huge advantage over a fixed tonal mapping.
