Three cameras are compared here, all of them with an APS-C sensor. Lens designations are full frame equivalent focal length.

Given the different focal lengths, different camera heights and mounting solutions, this is not a lens test but rather a “system test”: an attempt to show each camera at its best on a challenging target. Several trials were made and a wide range of exposure bracketing efforts were also made in order to ensure a fair and optimal showing for each camera.

The Fujifilm X100S and Nikon Coolpix A have a nearly identical resolution, and both have 14% more sensor resolving power than the Fujifilm X100 (about 30% more pixels).
