Nikon Z8
Nikon NIKKOR Z 26mm f/2.8

Examples: Backyard (Z8)

This page shows handheld examples on the Nikon Z8 using the Nikon NIKKOR Z 26mm f/2.8 “pancake” lens. At 125 grams, the 26/2.8 is a lens that can make the camera feel small and fun—great for walkaround usage for snapshots.

The examples were chosen to show the overall rendering style of lens and camera when shot handheld at moderate ISO, as might be a typical walk-around type usage.

Shot handheld with IBIS. Some images with AI Denoise and without.

Computer (or camera) correction for distortion, lateral chromatic aberration, vignetting are all required and cannot be disabled for the 26/2.8. The Z8 even issues a warning to that effect about distortion correction when the lens is mounted. Adobe Camera Raw allows no leeway either—all corrections are mandatory.
