Pixel Shift for Panoramas, Examples: Alpine Creek

Sony 4-shot pixel shift can be used with outstanding results when making stitched panoramas. While a little detail can be lost in areas where the stitching process joins images together, these examples show that the outstanding detail level is largely preserved within the finished image.

Files were processed into an ARQ file using Sony Viewer, and then converted to a lossless-compressed DNG to cut its size down by 60% for identical results when converted.

Flooded Alpine Creek

Well below its peak flow which was about 18 inches ~= 0.5 meters higher as can be told on the banks, the normal flow rate of this creek is a cubic foot per second or less and clear. Here is it vastly higher and laden with silt.
