Pixel Shift with Motion: People in Nature

This page makes a point of showing just how far pixel shift has come: prior to Sony motion correction for Sony pixel shift images, any kind of motion was verboten, and people in the image was strictly off limit. No more! You can have your pixel shift where it works, and have a a regular image where there is motion.

Includes paired images with and without pixel shift up to full camera resolution, plus crops.

Images evaluated on the 110 ppi NEC PA302W. Users of Retina displays may have trouble seeing differences even in the crops due to too high pixel density. Images should ideally be viewed on a display having 130 ppi or lower pixel density. See Too-High Pixel Density on 5K and 8K Displays Impedes Image Sharpness Assessment. If only a retina display is available, view at enlarged size ("100%") by clicking on the image crops for a separate window—even so, that scaling mutes the differences because it is resampling the images.
