60MP Sony A7R V

Sony A7R V: ISO 100 to 25600 with Adobe AI Denoise 10,50

This page looks at noise from ISO 100 to ISO 25600, and what the AI Denoise feature of Adobe Camera Raw can do about it, and how it affects image detail.

Images presented at full 60MP resolution but also at 30MP and 15MP as a proxy to give a good idea of noise levels that would be perceived at different enlargments sizes.

Note: the Sony A7R V is a dual-gain sensor, meaning that its hardware behavior is different depending on ISO—not ISO invariant across the entire ISO range, but ISO invariant within two ranges. ISO values up to 250 are one gain, and ISO values of 320 and higher are another. Put simply, if you need an effective ISO of 320 or higher, use set the camera to ISO 320 or higher.
