Gamut encompasses more than the AdobeRGB color space into the reds and blues, but less in the greens. This is an excellent gamut in general (encompassing AdobeRGB, more or less), but the gamut into the reds and blues is considerably less than that of the PA302W.

According to NEC, the backlight technology utilizes a wide gamut white LED instead of the GB-R LED as on other PA Series, such as the PA302W.

GB-R has some advantages in gamut size, but there are limitations in what can be chosen at any price point, and wide gamut W-LED is/was the only option available with these panel specifications.

Calibration settings

The PA302W achieves a contrast ratio of 844:1 and the PA322UHD reaches 640:1. Delta-E is trivially better on the PA302W.
