It’s a bit startling to see these very fine Zeiss lenses at such steep discounts languish for months unsold—these prices have to be at or below cost. I’m guessing that it is the direct result of (a) reduced demand caused by the Sony mirrorless onslaught for the past few years, and (b) new Milvus versions of these lenses.
The 15/2.8 and 135/2 APO-Sonnar are lenses that just don’t go out of style.
These lenses are pre-Milvus, the Milvus versions being weather sealed and with very slight improvements to lens coatings. But for $1151 off on the 15/2.8, I’d say that more than makes up for it.
