Tripod Vibration and Resonance

How do you make a sharp image?

It starts with absolute stability.

I happened to search my own site* for tripod resonance and turned up this page Tripod Vibration and Resonance (and many others).

I found my 7-year-old video (2010) on that page fascinating to watch as a demonstration of just how critical absolute stillness is to making a sharp image.

Absolute stillness of the camera is much more relevant today since pixel counts are higher with much smaller pixels. Technologies like pixel shift count on absolutely no movement or all heck breaks lose.
