Were it me with a budget, I’d insert two of the OWC 8.0TB Accelsior 4M2 cards into the Mac Pro and never run hard drives for daily work—only for backups (as I do now, but I use the OWC Thunderblade since an iMac 5K has no internal slots).

OWC Accelsior 4M2 cards below NOT compatible with 2019 Mac Pro, compatible versions available next week.
