Hasselblad X2D to Support Focus Bracketing
re: Announced: Hasselblad X2D-100C with 100 Megapixel Sensor, IBIS, Phase-Detect AF
re: Hasselblad X2D
I plan on a thorough review of the Hasselblad X2D 100C and at least the Hasselblad XCD 38mm f/2.5 V and Hasselblad XCD 55mm f/2.5 V. Many thanks to B&H Photo for the loaner camera and lenses.
I contacted Hasselblad PR today, and got this response:
Focus bracketing will be available in a future firmware update.
That’s great news for Hasselblad owners, assuming it is indeed suitable for focus stacking as with the Fujifilm GFX100S.
No word on when the update will be available, perhaps too late for my work on my upcoming trip with the X2D.
Now if only Hasselblad can be persuaded to implement frame averaging and 4-shot Sony-style pixel shift, then we’d have a compelling camera for landscape.
Thank you for ordering your Hasselblad X2D 100C and new lenses through the links on this site.
