I love the results I can get from the GFX100 II/100S when I compensate for its inexcusable and totally fixable flaws, but no one should have to keep working around Fujifilm failures.
But assuming that the Focus BKT feature of Fujfilm GFX100 II/100S/100 gets the job done right for infinity focus is a fool’s game.

I am going to keep reminding my readers of their peril on a regular basis because it matters a great deal. As in getting 12 to 50 megapixels worth of detail vs 100 megapixels—see comparison crop below, which is a typical behavior.
Fujifilm, please wake up and do the simple fix for incompetent programmers or get your shit together and find the bug and fix it—you’ve had 5+ godamn years. Fujfilm, your incompetence has cost me endless hours of extra work in shooting and 'post' plus lost shots and damaged results.
I do not know how to get the attention of someone who can fix this—I have no Fujifilm contacts—so my only recourse seems to bitch about it and hope some worthwhile person there will take action out of (if only) embarrassment. No I am not going to spend my time trying to reach someone through a phone tree at some 800 number for a 1% probability of getting the attention an engineering manager over in Japan.
It’s a double incompetence: to not scan the web for issues with product functionality fails the most basic test of of company competence in the internet age.
Sony is equally incompetent. Nikon gets it right. It isn’t hard!
