Adobe Camera Raw White Balance and Tint with Ricoh GR (and maybe other brands?)

I was a little puzzled with the odd white balance with the Ricoh GR. I was using 7.4 on my production machine and 8.1 on my laptop.

For the same DNG raw file from the Ricoh GR, observe the huge difference in the As Shot white balance: the Embedded profile reads 4100°K +8M and the Adobe Standard profile reads 5650°K +12G. That’s not a subtle difference, so which setting is used is critical.

Adobe Camera Raw 7.4 (137) vs 8.1 (43) white balance and tint for the same file

It turns out that the difference is related to the choice of camera profile in ACR 8.1 (43) beta; version 7.4 has no such choice.
