Technical data for the new Zeiss Milvus 25mm f/1.4.
MTF
Overall, Zeiss appears to have taken a similar design approach as with the Milvus 35mm f/1.4: a well-balanced design that strives for excellent overall performance at f/1.4 with reference-setting performance stopped down a bit.
Compared to the Milvus 35/1.4, the 25/1.4 delivers higher peak contrast and higher contrast for coarse and medium structures; high overall contrast adds a “pop” to images that I find highly appealing; see Micro Contrast and the Zeiss 'Pop'.

Distortion
Distortion is moderate barrel distortion (bowing out), about the same degree as its 25mm f/2 and 25mm f/2.8 predecessors, but of a straightforward barrel type distortion, less visually objectionable than wave-type distortion, though the inflection to pincushion distortion in the 25/2 and 25/2.8 was mild.
Vignetting
About 2 stops wide open, reduced to only natural vignetting at f/4.
