With the Sony A7R V, Sony claims that it has improved processing support for pixel shift, using their proprietary Sony Imaging Edge software.
What kind of pixel shift results can we get out of the Sony A7R V using the Sony software and also LibRaw PixelShift2DNG? Is pixel shift now a viable option for regular use where motion is involved?

I’ve asked Sony why the Sony Imaging Edge Viewer software assembles a pixel shift image into a huge and uncompressed ARQ file, which cannot be used with Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop. It’s a disruptive workflow-breaking headache to have to use the Sony software at all, and even worse that one has to process the resulting file outside one’s normal workflow. What I am sure we all would like is an industry standard DNG file, and lossless compressed too.
